Day 1: Welcome to vibrant Kathmandu where our Nepal adventure begins
Arrive in Kathmandu (Altitude: approximately 1,400 meters / 4,593 feet), the bustling capital city of Nepal. You'll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, you can explore the vibrant streets, visit ancient temples, and soak in the unique cultural atmosphere.
Day 2: Rest day and explore the city
Leisure day to explore Kathmandu further. You can visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, or explore Thamel for shopping and local cuisine.
Day 3: Fly to Lukla (Altitude: approximately 2,860 meters / 9,383 feet) and hike to Phakding
Take an early morning flight to Lukla, then trek to Phakding. The hike to Phakding involves a descent from Lukla and covers a distance of approximately 8 kilometers (5 miles).
Day 4: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (Altitude: approximately 3,440 meters / 11,286 feet)
Continue along the Dudh Koshi River to Namche Bazaar. The hike covers approximately 11 kilometers (7 miles) and involves an ascent.
Day 5: Namche to Khumjung (Altitude: approximately 3,810 meters / 12,500 feet)
Trek to Khumjung village, covering a distance of approximately 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) from Namche Bazaar.
Day 6: Khumjung to Phortse (Altitude: approximately 3,810 meters / 12,500 feet)
Hike from Khumjung to Phortse, covering a distance of approximately 6 kilometers (3.7 miles).
Day 7: Phortse to Dingboche (Altitude: approximately 4,410 meters / 14,468 feet)
Trek from Phortse to Dingboche, covering a distance of approximately 10 kilometers (6.2 miles).
Day 8: Rest day in Dingboche for acclimatization
Acclimatization day in Dingboche for adjusting to the altitude.
A crucial day for acclimatization. You have the option to explore the area or take short hikes to higher altitudes, ensuring proper acclimatization in Dingboche.
Day 9: Dingboche (4,410 meters / 14,468 feet) to Lobuche (Altitude: approximately 4,910 meters / 16,109 feet)
Continue the ascent towards Lobuche, covering a distance of around 7 kilometers (4.3 miles). The trail provides magnificent views of the towering peaks and passes through the memorials of climbers who lost their lives on Everest.
Day 10: Ascent to Everest Base Camp
Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep and then hike to Everest Base Camp (Altitude: approximately 5,364 meters / 17,598 feet). This challenging hike covers approximately 3 kilometers (1.86 miles) one way. Experience the thrill of standing at the foot of the world's highest peak. Return to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay.
Day 11: Gorakshep (5,164 meters / 16,942 feet) to Pheriche (Altitude: approximately 4,240 meters / 13,910 feet)
Descend from Gorak Shep to Pheriche, covering a distance of about 8 kilometers (5 miles). This route provides a different perspective of the mountains, and Pheriche offers a relaxing stop for the night.
Day 12: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (Altitude: approximately 3,440 meters / 11,286 feet)
Descend further down to Namche Bazaar, covering approximately 15 kilometers (9.3 miles), where you can relax and reminisce about your incredible journey.
Day 13: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (Altitude: approximately 2,860 meters / 9,383 feet)
Continue descending to Lukla, covering a distance of around 18 kilometers (11.2 miles). This is where you'll spend the night, celebrating the completion of the trek.
Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu in the morning and rest day
Take a scenic morning flight back to Kathmandu and spend the day at leisure, relaxing, and reflecting on your adventure.
Day 15: Fly back home
